The purpose of the Tualatin Valley Quilt Guild is to promote good fellowship among people interested in the art of quilting. Our goals are to preserve the tradition, culture, and history of quilting, and to promote the knowledge and understanding of all aspects of quilting by enjoying and appreciating others’ work rather than judging it.
Tualatin Valley Quilt Guild brings together quilters of all skill levels—from beginners taking their first stitches to experienced quilters ready to share their knowledge and creativity.
Based in King City, Oregon, our members come from throughout the Portland metro area and surrounding communities. We’re here to learn, create, share, and most importantly, enjoy the friendships that grow from our love of quilting.
Our monthly meetings are filled with inspiration and fun, including:
Engaging guest speakers and quilting-related programs
Door prizes
Fat Quarter of the Month drawings
Block of the Month drawings featuring blocks made by our members
Show & Tell, where members proudly share their latest quilts and quilting projects
There’s always something new to see, learn, and be inspired by!
The TVQG Board of Directors helps plan guild activities and takes care of the business and administrative needs of the guild. Board meetings are generally held on the first Tuesday of each month, although a meeting may be canceled at the President’s discretion.
The Board includes TVQG’s elected officers and appointed committee chairs. All guild members are welcome and encouraged to attend board meetings. We value our members’ ideas and input and want everyone to have a voice in shaping the future of our guild.
